Galaxy Engineering Consultancy is a multidisciplinary consulting firm technical people capable of providing a wide range of services. Our staff has extensive experience in these disciplines. Our Capabilities include but not limited to the following:
Topographic Survey made to determine the shape of the earth surface and to locate natural and cultural features on it. The purpose of a topographic survey is together data on the natural and man-made features of the land as well as the contours of the terrain itself. This data is to be analyzed and interpreted into a three-dimensional, easy understand, base plan.
The detail on your survey can vary from site to site. Examples of features that can be picked up are The boundaries to your land, Existing building positions on or adjacent to your site, Road and path locations, Street details, Underground services, Highways, Railroads and pipelines, Changes in ground surfaces, levels, plantation and landscape Individual or groups of trees. All details are shown in 2D or 3D with levels related to QN datum. Depending on your requirements, our topographic survey can be undertaken to an industry-standard or to your individual specifications, using the latest technology. When quoting for your project; we will always tell you what features we expect to pick up in the survey before we start it, so that you know exactly what you’re getting. We can also produce your survey in a range of digital formats from hard copy to DWG or DXF file formats.
USES OF TOPOGRAPHIC MAPS
* Topographic maps are used by a variety of professions from engineers, architects, foresters, geologists, etc.
* The most common use of topographic maps is in the planning stages of projects to help in the design of the layout and location of buildings, roads, dams, pipelines, landscapes, fire control routes, trails, etc.
Cadastral surveying is the sub-field of surveying that specializes in the establishment and re-establishment of real property boundaries. It is an important component of the legal creation of properties.

This service for all kinds of works as per the latest technical requirements for all authorizations departments in Qatar like ASHGHAL, KAHRAMAA, QP, etc. As the name suggests As-Built (or As Constructed) surveys are surveys illustrating where buildings, pavements, roads, and features have been built. Whilst these surveys are typically completed at the end of the construction process they may also be carried out during the different stages of construction. During construction As-Built surveys are used to demonstrate to the building inspector that the project is conforming to regulations. It can be a useful tool during a large project to show what has been completed and allow for scheduling adjustments to be made. This type of survey could also be used by a contractor to determine payment schedules relating to different aspects of the build, also an As-Built survey could confirm that the building process complies with the original plans.
Using a global network of satellites our receiver/ transmitter is able to provide accurate data, due to a continually transmitting satellite signal that enables the receiver to calculate its 3-dimensional position (latitude, longitude, and elevation), giving extremely accurate ground locations. This information can be de-coded and exported directly into
CAD applications. Further to this, Ordnance Survey no longer updates and calibrates the local benchmark network making GPS the only reliable way of relating survey levels and heights back to ordnance datum, which is imperative for Flood Risk Assessment along with the majority of planning applications. GEC is able to provide you with reliable coordinates and level datum from the Ordnance Survey Active GPS network to assist you with any height issues on your land.
GPS equipment used by GEC is controlled and used by one person making the process quicker and more cost-effective for you. In many cases, one team member will work on our GPS equipment picking up heights and levels alongside another team picking up boundaries and features. Your survey is instantly locked onto an Ordnance Survey grid and large areas of land can be surveyed at exceptional but accurate speed.
The benefits of using GPS Survey are:-
* Compare to conventional techniques there are far fewer operational limitations.
* A greater accuracy of positioning physical features over large areas that can be utilized in maps and models.
* This is a faster, less labor-intensive, and more cost-effective way of capturing data than other techniques.
The term Engineering Survey is our overarching banner covering specialist surveys required for pre-construction, construction, and structural monitoring. Our Ground Modelling and Volumetric Capabilities are used mainly by earth-moving contractors and their clients. It provides transparency for both parties defining actual mathematical volumes of earth that are being shifted around, in, and out of a site to create the required ground levels. Use our Specialist Monitoring Capabilities to understand the level of structural movement in your building (or on your floor) and determine whether it is continuing to move and how quickly this is happening with our easy-to-understand reports.
Finally, use our Specialist Vibration Monitoring Equipment to see to what extent the work you are carrying out is having an effect on the buildings surrounding your site. It can provide a backup and proof of vibration levels over periods of time, minimizing risk in the long term. Our team is trained in the use of this specialist equipment and can provide it along with a computer for pulling together vibration reports for analysis. Whatever survey type you need, we are here to help and can take you through the options available to meet your end requirements. You won’t be disappointed.
Volume calculations :
Forewarned is forearmed. Volume calculations are a key cost element of any site development, yet so often overlooked. At site surveying services we offer a quick, responsive service with accurate and cost-effective practical solutions which give the client, estimators, and contractors exact figures from the outset. A pre-site survey with advanced 3D modeling allows precise calculations of the volume of earth to be removed from a site, meaning all costs are correctly accounted for from the start of the project. This service to be used also to calculate all kind of stoke piles for any materials on the site using high precision mapping and survey solution
Building 3D Laser Scanning
As-built surveys using 3D laser scanning technology, provide users with detailed point clouds which enable 3D modeling for diverse tasks including building reconstruction, plant layout, and enhanced data presentation with augmented reality.
Measured Building Surveying
A building survey is created from measurements taken with a handheld laser distance measuring device and a tablet computer. An accurate as-built survey provides an important tool to manage the building as it is under construction and after it has been completed.
Building Condition Survey
A condition survey provides an assessment of physical property conditions, and to identify
building deficiencies.
Measured Building Surveying
Whether ceiling grid or project layout for floors or walls. We can project your design onto
any surface point for point.
One of the most common, versatile, and economical forms of remote sensing is aerial photography. Historically, most aerial photography has been film-based. In recent years, however, digital photography has become increasingly widely used. Aerial photography gives a bird’s eye view of large areas, enabling us to see earth surface features in their spatial location. GEC now will use the UAV aerial photos technique. In this technique, GEC can get a resolution of 1 cm with 100m flying height and can build also the DTM directly with very accurate results.
This service for mobile mapping system combines high-resolution laser scanning and precise positioning to collect geo-referenced point clouds for a wide range of requirements Capable of collecting up to 72,000 points per second in its dual scanner configuration.
Rent for surveyors with or Without equipment
Our rent amount will be less than any comparing in the market we give full power to our surveyors to do the job as it should be.
